Total so far to attend my baby brother’s wedding?
$585.00
And I haven’t even bought a gift.
They are getting married in the heart of the Hudson Valley wine country. Near Vassar. And the NY Culinary Institute. During the height of the fall leaf-viewing season.
The kicker is that I could stay in a cute little B&B for LESS money than I am paying for a Rodeway Inn. EXCEPT none of them allow children under 17.
The next couple who chooses a scenic, but EXPENSIVE locale for their nuptials will be shot.

I was debating on making the trip in to Lake Charles (yes, it’s only a two hour drive…) for my older brother and sister-in-law’s impending child birth but I don’t think I’m going to do it. I just can’t make myself, no matter how hard I try. I can see now, I’m going to be the bad uncle.
Ok – I know it’s going to be an expensive trip – but it really is going to be BEAUTIFUL that time of year. Enjoy that!!! I’m so totally jealous. 🙂
