"Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them." – Albert Einstein

I am back in my office after an absence of more than two weeks, and it may as well be the landscape of the moon for all I remember it.

I suppose it is the sign of a good vacation when you can leave your work so completely behind you that when you return you can’t even remember where you stored the pens, let alone what the heck you were supposed to be DOING when you left.   Apparently, I must have anticipated the post-vacation fogbrain I am experiencing, because I keep getting pop-up notices from my calendar that some far more professional and together self managed to set before I left for New York.

Unfortunately my earlier self did not anticipate that my post-vacation self would have no bloody idea what the the heck she was trying to tell herself.  Can you use that many self-references in one sentence?  Hello, Alice, and just when did we fall through that rabbit-hole?

Sigh.

Can someone direct me to the potion on the pillow, please?

Welcome home! Good luck on the work thing. 4 days off and I was confused by my stacks when I returned this morning.

Well I feel better now that I know I am not alone. I have had two weeks of AWESOME time off. Then I get back to that place today, and had no clue what to start on.

Thank goodness for my boss and his memory.

    Yeah, right.

I would have LOVED to be that organized! Instead, I just had to muddle through and figure out what the HECK I was doing (and thinking) before I left for vacay. Oh wait.. I know.. I was thinking “God get me outta this place” ha..ha.ha…

I envy you and your pop up notes! 😀
