The world is going to hell in a handbasket, and for some reason, it makes me want one of these:
Some fresh-baked scones, shortbread, wildflower honey and good conversation for an afternoon.
The world could use a big healthy dose of culture and civility.

I’d be happy to join you in a virtual tea party. I agree about the civility. Seems to be lacking in a lot of my life lately.
Mmmmm… Numi. I received a set of blossoms and a tiny teapot a couple of years ago. Paul thought I was crazy when I took it to Gulf Wars — we were working Scribe’s Point that year, and it seemed tough to get a break. But from time to time I’d have my hot tea while sitting cross-legged on a couch, tuning out the rest of the world.
I could sure use a little world-tuning-out right now. Maybe once I get done with the last article today I can spend time meditating. I think the whole world could use a few hours of centering and isolation right about now.
🙂
That charms me, for whatever reason.
Amen.
but I have to confess, as a new mommy who doesn’t happen to be breastfeeding, I’m using coffee to keep up. I have no choice for now. But once the sleep deprivation is over, I will gladly rejoin you at the tea party.
