Can chocolate cake be written off as a business expense?

Because I could SO use a huge honkin’ slice right about now.

    Yes, if you discussed business while you were eating it, and it was a “business meeting over food” type thing.

    Or if you’re eating it as part of a charity or other non-profit group’s organized event.

    (yeah, asked something very similar from our show’s tax man a while back — and it’s true!)
