"Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them." – Albert Einstein

Or, well, at least of this blog.

I am thinking of changing themes, folks.  At least for the winter.

I really like the old green color scheme and artwork, but I will admit, it’s starting to get a little “too familiar”.  Like a favorite pair of jeans, it’s really comfortable, and it has wear patterns in all the right places, but I can’t help but think I could get something with that “new theme” feel to it.

I guess it’s kind of like getting bored with your hair.  But I don’t want to go off for highlights and come back a bleached blonde, you know?  When I put up this blog, two of my best friends said that the background looked immediately “like me”.  That’s a style that works.

I am test-running a new holiday theme today – it’s colorful, but I don’t know what I can do about the font size.  It’s also a nod to Charles – red and green are two of the colors he can actually see.

So, hmmm.  What shall it be – old faithful or new facelift?

    It’s so… Christmas-y.

I dunno… but the holiday fervor being forced down my throat at work may have something to do with that.

I’m liking it. And I’m not good with change, so it must be good.

I am going to test-drive a few over the next couple of days and pick one. Feel free to comment on each.

I like it, because its Christmasy of course, but also because if we keep something too long the same, we stop paying as much attention to it. Changing it, as long as it isn’t scarry highlights in my hair, is a good thing.

I’m with you on the whole having to change themes thing… it drives me crazy to look at my site for too long without something changing!
    Looks good.

Well – I’m gonna be a nay-sayer. While the design is cute – I just don’t see it as YOU. It doesn’t feel like you and I’m sure there are holiday designs out there that do, just not this one. And I love your previous design, I’ve always associated that theme with you! 🙂

    Much love!!
