"Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them." – Albert Einstein

My son has a rather obsessive relationship with the vacuum cleaner.  If it is anywhere visible, he is drawn to it like a moth to a flame.  He takes it apart.  He plays with the attachments.  And, if you try to separate him from his vacuum, he has a full-blown toddler temper-tantrum that is only resolved by the return of his beloved cleaning device.

And lest you think this is just because of the plethora of nifty, gadgety attachments that might just resemble a giant building set, he has the same basic fascination with brooms.  There’s definitely a cleaning-product dynamic going on.  My husband blames me for passing on my obsessive Monk-ish tendencies in my half of the gene contribution.

So when my friend, Jerry, a fellow techno-geek (although I don’t know about his house-cleaning proclivities) sent me this link, I knew that I just may have found the perfect Christmas gift.

This:

Buster, the ride-on vacuum

Is a toddler-sized, ride-on canister vacuum.  It is the perfect example of form meeting function, of supply meeting demand.  It is the “mother” in the mother of invention.

Sigh.

I almost cried real tears when I found out it was still a prototype.

Are you listening, Fisher Price?

I may even vacum if I had a ride on vacum cleaner. That is so very cool

That’s a bit bizarre and yet oddly fascinating at the same time…. 🙂

A prototype! Bah! It needs to be out already! I could train my toddler to vacuum up her own damn cheerios! 😉 Seriously this thing looks AWESOME.
